In the model Farm, I am Part of the precision Agriculture and Data management teams.
As part of my role, I am a part of a team that is developing unique sensing systems, precision agriculture and decision support systems models, and developing the platforms for data management, and data analytic.
My vision about the model farm is to build and develop precision agriculture and decision support systems for sustainable agriculture that will enable profitable crops while maintaining soil fertility, and health, for sustainable agriculture.

As a member of the “founders group” and as the actual scientific director of the Model Farm, I find the fascinating challenge in defining the goals and in paving the way for action.

A personal note:
The Model Farm for Sustainable Agriculture is a challenging and complex project.
These include dozens of experimental plots measuring about 10 dunams, with a total area of about 400 dunams, including a new almond plantation, field crops (wheat, vetch, corn, chickpeas and sunflower) and areas for examining new fodder crops (Moringa , Sesame and more). The project involves dozens of researchers, research engineers and field personnel. At the moment we are busy buying equipment for the model farm and within a year we will begin our experiments. We hope that we will examine, represent and assimilate as many approaches as possible to more sustainable agriculture that will benefit the environment and the farmers of Israel, and even the world.
